Profile of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Surendra Kumar
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Surendra Kumar took the oath of office as Member (Judicial) of the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, New Delhi, on the forenoon of 07.08.2013. He is having rich experience of law in different capacities, such as Advocate, District Judge and Judge of High Court. Graduated in Law in the year 1976, got enrolled as an advocate in February, 1977 and practiced on civil, criminal, service and tax matters. He was appointed as District Judge (Entry grade) by qualifying U.P. Higher Judicial Services in May, 1994. He became full-fledged District & Sessions Judge/Principal District Judge in August 2006 and served U.P. Higher Judiciary in various Districts of U.P. He was finally elevated as a Judge of Allahabad High Court in September 2011 and demitted the office on 6th August, 2013 at Allahabad.
