APPELLATE TRIBUNAL FOR ELECTRICITY

Shri Dinesh Chandra Sharma, Director, APTEL, is a Group ‘A’ officer of the Central Secretariat Service(CSS). He was born on 15th August, 1967 and completed his schooling from Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE), Delhi.He graduated in Science from Delhi University. He joined Govt. service on 26.05.1993 in Accounts Cadre and later entered in Central Secretariat Service on 13.05.1994 through Assistant Grade Examination, 1991. He served in various Ministries/Departments of the Govt. of India namely, Ministry of Defence, Cabinet Secretariat, DoP&T, UIDAI. He was in Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research as Under Secretary from 01.08.2014 to 31.05.2022. During his service in Central Secretariat he has undertaken various training programs from YASHDA, Pune and ISTM. During his stint in Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, he worked in Budget, Finance, Vigilance, Administration and General Administration divisions of the Department.

Sh. Ajay Kumar, CSS, Director Sh. Ajay Kumar was born on 10th January, 1969 at Dehradun. He did B.Sc. Physics (Hons.) from Ranchi University and also did Adv. Diploma in Forging Technology from NIFT, Ranchi. He Joined Central Secretariat Service on 14.12.1994. He served in UPSC as Section Officer from 2002 to 2010. He, after getting promotion as Under Secretary, worked in Ministries of Heavy Industries and Water Resources. During his service in Central Secretariat, He has undertaken training programmes on various subjects such as Administrative vigilance at ISTM, New Delhi and Legislative drafting at Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and justice, New Delhi. He joined APTEL on 24th January, 2017.
